Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Tonite Gonzalez-Collins is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta was bilingual since her age of nine. The ability that helped her get her first role as a Univision production assistant in Miami. In Miami, she was a producer for National shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. It was the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg hired her following this to become the sports reporter. Her move from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at the Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Covering stories related to drugs and immigration issues across the border of Mexico and Texas. In 1992 the family left Mexico for the US and settled in Miami. In 1992, her parents divorced soon after. In 1995, she was remarried Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. When on vacation Antonietta spent the time at the house of her sister Canton Ohio. Her older Collins sibling had recently gotten an offer to work. Still a senior in high school and yet with a clear idea about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta visited the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. It turned out that she was a fan of the university and that they had the major she was looking for. Her studies were completed and she was accepted to the University for a master's degree studying media and communication studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a student in the class, established an ongoing friendship with the student. The professor encouraged her to have self-confidence and was greatly moved by his enthusiasm for journalism.
